Copper Fridge Magnets

A very cute idea for leaving little notes to your significant other, or a quick scrabble game, is using fridge magnets. I’ll show you how to make Copper Fridge Magnets below.

What you’ll need:

letters and paint

letters and copper spraypaint

I bought the fridge magnets at Ruby’s Haberdashery in Villieria, Pretoria. They were very cheap – R20 per set.

The Spray paint can be bought at any hardware store, or Game. Buy:

  1. Copper metallic paint – R50
  2. Base coat for plastics – R80

Next, set out the letters on a piece of paper, so as to not get spray on your floor.

Spray the base coat according to the manufacturers instructions. This will be a few coats, giving drying time in between. When the base coats are dry, you can start the copper paint, again to the manufacturers instructions.

Once the copper layers are dry, you have your finished product! Now you can start writing those love notes/scrabble game.
